Camp Simba is a two-day camp jointly organized by Duke-NUS GMS and YLLSoM for the children of cancer patients.


Simba is the Swahili word for "courage". Camp Simba is thus named in the hope that it will help build campers’ self esteem and confidence by offering a playful, nurturing environment that allows children to form bonds with peers who share similar experiences.

Poject Lokun is an overseas community involvement project in Cambodia. Accompanied by Singapore doctors, students from YLLSoM go up twice a year to conduct health screenings for the Cambodians, as well as to assist in the local hospital under the guidance and mentorship of a local doctor.

The Quad turns Quintessential
The Inter-faculty Bash is an annual event co-organised by NUS Medicine Society, Dentistry Society, Pharmaceutical Society, Nursing Society, along with Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. This inter-faculty collaboration has had its official origins in 2007 when the Nursing Society made its inaugural inclusion into the healthcare family of NUS.
