Once again, the Academic Directorate brings to us another talk on humanitarian aid. This time, the focus is on how the SingHealth Humanitarian Emergency Relief is run. This organisation has been to almost every single major disaster in Asia in the last 1 decade, from the tsunami, to the earthquakes in Pakistan & China, and the cyclones in Burma and Indonesia. Furthermore, a sizeable portion of this team involves "non-acute" specialists like medical oncologists, so don't worry if your main interest is not emergency medicine! See how these doctors keep their passion for serving the community selflessly without incentive and under horrid conditions despite reaching varying levels of seniority.

See you there!

Speakers:
Dr Mark Leong, Senior Consultant (Disaster Medicine) & Head of SGH Department of Emergency Medicine. Also Head of SingHealth Humanitarian Emergency Relief.
Dr Jerry Tan, Head of Emergency Preparedness at SingHealth
Dr Simon Ong, Senior Consultant, NCCS Department of Medical
Dr Joanne Ngeow, Registrar, NCCS Department of Medical
Dr Arif Tyebally, Registrar, KKH Department of Emergency Medicine (Paediatrics)

We have a whole line of activities to keep you sharp, build your circle of friends and give you opportunities to shine! So what are you waiting for?
